Teak is a unique timber species, world renown, and other timber cannot match its wide-ranging applications and prestige. Though teak natural distribution occurs mainly in certain parts India, Myanmar and North of Thailand, teak plantation establishments both within and outside natural habitats have been practiced widely, in some 50 countries. Due to more farmers' participation in commercial teak plantations, small scale, present teak plantations in Thailand should be substantial.
